..............................I was born in Reading which is a large town in the south of England. I’m the third child of eight.
.................I think perhaps that we were the original dysfunctional family, but I have to say that we were always
.................surrounded by love. I met my husband when I was just sixteen [he was an older man of seventeen]
.................we married when I was twenty, & by the time we migrated to Australia we had our three children.

..............................We decided to emigrate because we thought it would give our kids an easier start in life.
.................I’m not sure if it actually worked out that way, but our kids have all turned out to be great people,
.................and in my book you can’t ask for more than that.
.................We arrived in Melbourne in 1978 my husband is a Brickwork Contractor [posh title for a brickie.]
.................in 1984 we purchased some land on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, & then built our house.

..............................As I was born not long after WW11 money was very tight, there wasn’t any spare money
.................for books. So my mum used to recite poems to us when we were kids, I grew up with Christopher Robin
.................and all the others that A A Milne wrote. One of my all time favourite poems was The Pied Piperof Hamlyn,
.................mum used to go into the library some days after work to read & memorize the verses, as there are some
.................forty odd verses this took a bit of doing, almost till the end of her life mum could remember this poem.

..............................She was very selective in what she taught us, [mostly they were funny] I’ve always carried on
.................the tradition & now my kids are carrying it on as well.

..............................I’ve always made up rhymes, well we all did, but I never wrote them down until this last year or so,
.................my handwriting is woeful. It was not until my son introduced me to my computer that I started writing and
.................keeping my poetry. Now I can’t stop!! There is a great diversity of subjects in my book Thru’ My Eyes.
.................I have to say that not much is ‘sacred’ to me. Although having said that I never malign anybody’s God,
.................and I don’t go in for all that erotisismy sort of stuff, I’m getting a bit long in the tooth for all that.
.................Still I do cover just about everything else, mostly rhyming but not all. I write about life, your life my life,
.................if you can’t relate to at least half of my work, well you’d best let me know what life is like on your planet.

..............................My book Thru’ My Eyes was published earlier this year. It is selling very well locally, soooo
.................I thought in my wisdom that I should give YOU the opportunity of sampling & hopefully enjoying & ultimately
.................purchasing a copy, of either the book or alternatively the c.d. When this book was first on sale, It was with
.................some trepidation that I waited to see how people reacted, but I can now say that I know that you will love it.

..............................I wrote the poem U.S.A. within hours of the horrific events of 11 Sept 2001.
.................I felt that I would like to share this poem with all of you. I have been writing lots of poems for my new book,
.................which is going to print soon. Of course U.S.A. will be included in it.

...............................................................Keep watching this space for more updates.
